No matter how stunning a Lock Screen wallpaper may be after a while it tends to lose charm. That’s when you want to have something more pleasing to spruce up the whole affair. But before you go on to make new wallpapers, it’s better to get rid of the ones that are useless to ensure they do not make your wallpaper gallery look messed up.

Step 1. To get started, unlock your iPhone with Face ID or Touch ID.

Step 2. Now, long-press on the Lock Screen to reveal the wallpaper gallery.

Step 3. Next, you need to swipe left or right to find the Lock Screen wallpaper you would like to delete.

Step 4. Next up, swipe up on the wallpaper.

Step 5. Up next, tap on the red trash button at the bottom of the wallpaper.

Step 6. Now, a popup will appear on the screen saying, “Delete this Lock Screen? Any configurations made to this Lock Screen will be lost.” Make sure to hit Delete in the popup to confirm the action.

That’s all there is to it! So, that’s how you can get rid of unnecessary Lock Screen wallpapers in iOS 16. It’s worth pointing out that you can follow the same quick steps to delete more wallpapers. Hence, delete each of the wallpaper that you don’t need anymore.
