Even though the stock Photos app for iOS is feature-packed and comes with a pretty solid collection of photo editing tools, it lacks an essential object removal tool. But bother not, this is where third-party apps have a role to play. So, if you no longer want to let unwanted things ruin your images, let me show you how to remove objects from Photos on iPhone and iPad for free in 2023 and beyond!
It’s worth noting that in this guide we are going to use an app called “Photo Eraser”. The app is available for free and supports iOS 10 or later. Do note that if you want to use this app without ads, you will need to spend $2, which is quite reasonable considering the reliable functionality. With that said, let’s get started!
How to Remove Unwanted Objects from Images on iOS and iPadOS
Step 1. First off, download the Photo Eraser app on your iPhone or iPad.
Step 2. Now, tap on the photo icon at the middle of the screen or at the top left corner of the screen, and then choose the photo that you want to edit from your photo library.
Step 3. Next, tap on the object removal tool (looks like a circle with a pointed finger at the top) at the top of the screen.
Step 4. Drag your finger on the object which you wish to get rid of. Make sure to drag your finger on the object multiple times until it is completely hidden.

- Do not be afraid of going wrong as there is a pretty handy “Refresh” tool at the top right corner of the screen that allows you to scratch from the scratch.
Step 5. When you are happy with the result, tap on the tiny “Play” button at the bottom right corner of the screen.
Step 6. Finally, tap on the “Share” icon at the top of the screen and choose “Save Photo” in the share sheet and you are good to go!
That’s all there is to it! Your edited video will be saved in your photo library. Now, check out how the image looks. To edit more videos, repeat these same quick steps over and over again.
