Expectedly, the move was not appreciated by users. After a long wait, Apple has offered a way to show battery percentage in iPhone’s status bar in iOS 16. With that said, here is how you can add a battery percentage indicator to the status bar on your iPhone.

The battery percentage is hidden by default in iOS 16. Though you can show it with ease right from the battery’s setting.

Step 1. First off, open the Settings app on your iPhone running iOS 16 or later.

Step 2. Scroll down and tap on Battery.

Step 3. Turn on the toggle next to Battery Percentage and you are all set. The change will come into effect straight away and start showing the battery percentage indicator inside the battery icon. Take a look at the status bar to see the change.
