For folks who are on the lookout for a highly capable yet budget-friendly iPad, there is great news. Amazon has just announced up to $200 discount on the select iPad Air M1 models. Though I had been expecting a price drop after the launch of the iPad Air M2 (13-inch and 11-inch), I didn’t expect that the discount could be so big.

- As of now, you can get the M1 iPad Air (64GB Wi-Fi model) at $395.01 – down from $599.00. That means you can avail more than $200 discount on this model.
If you don’t find the 64GB storage in line with your preference, there is no need to be disappointed either.
- Currently, the 256GB Wi-Fi M1 iPad Air is available for $599.00, down from $749.00 (a good saving of $150).
But what if you don’t want to be settled with the Wi-Fi model only? No worries!
- For the time being, the iPad Air M1 64GB cellular is available for $599, whose original price is $749.
- And the 256GB cellular iPad Air M1 is priced at $749 on Amazon – down from $899. Buying any of these two models will let you save a decent $150 as well.
Final Thoughts…
There is a lot to like about the M1 iPad Air. Both in terms of speed and efficiency, it has enough to win you over. Not to mention, it has also got decent cameras to live up to the mark.
As for the iPad Air 2024, it has packed faster processor (M2) and much-improved cameras. However, I don’t think it’s worth upgrading as it doesn’t provide dramatic performance as compared to the 2022 iPad Air model. On top of all, you also have to cough up way more money.
While there is no dearth of tablets in the market, iPads have long been the market leader by a long distance. To me, what sets it apart from the rest is the robust hardware and the fully optimized software. Add to that the custom chip that delivers raw speed as well as smooth performance for several years and you have a tablet that seems to tick off all the key boxes.
With around 40% market share, iPads have a dominating presence. Not that the tablets from Samsung and OnePlus are less impressive, but they have failed to take the shine away from Apple’s tablets.
What do you have to say about iPads based on your personal experience? It would be great to have your thoughts as well.
