10 Ways to Fix Bluetooth Not Working on Apple Vision Pro

Connecting Bluetooth headphones or accessories to Apple Vision Pro is as seamless as it can ever get. However, there are times when Bluetooth stops working on the Vision Pro without any rhyme or reason. When this issue occurs, your Bluetooth accessory either doesn’t show up in the menu or fails to connect. But fret not as it can be sorted out with ease! Check out these 10 handy tips and tricks to fix the Bluetooth not working on Apple Vision Pro.

So, what’s preventing Bluetooth from working properly on your visionOS device? Though a miscellaneous software glitch could be at the forefront of the problem, you should keep in mind other culprits like incompatibility and network-related issues. Besides, you shouldn’t fail to keep an eye on the wrong configuration either.

1. Make Sure Your Bluetooth Accessory is Compatible

First off, ensure that your Bluetooth accessory is fully compatible. Note that not all Bluetooth devices are designed to work with the Apple Vision Pro.

2. Ensure That Your Bluetooth Accessory is Not Running Low on Power

If your Bluetooth accessory is running low on power, it might have trouble connecting to your Apple Vision Pro. So, ensure that the Bluetooth accessory has enough juice in the tank.

3. Turn OFF/ON Bluetooth 

Many a time, you can resolve the Bluetooth issues on your headset by just turning it off/on. Considering how effective and easy this solution is, there is no harm in giving it a go.

  • Simply, look up and hit the down button.

  • To do so, press and hold the Top button and the Digital Crown at once -> drag the power off slider to shut down your headset.

5. Reboot Your Bluetooth Device

Do not put the sole blame on your Vision Pro as the Bluetooth accessory could also be at fault. Hence, try rebooting your Bluetooth device to check if it gets the job done.

6. Unpair/Re-pair the Bluetooth Device 

Forgetting the Bluetooth device and reconnecting to it is also a reliable way to troubleshoot the Bluetooth issues.

  • Navigate to the Settings app on your headset -> Bluetooth
  • Now, tap on the Information button next to the name of the Bluetooth device -> Forget This Device and confirm the action. 
  • After that reconnect your Bluetooth device to your headset. To get it done, put your Bluetooth device in the discovery mode. Dive into the Settings app -> Bluetooth -> Turn on Bluetooth -> Select the name of your Bluetooth device. 

Note: 

  • In order to connect some other Bluetooth headphones, navigate to the Settings app -> Accessibility -> Hearing Devices -> Other Devices -> Select your device. 
  • It’s worth pointing out that visionOS offers a neat way to customize a wireless game controller. Once you have paired a compatible game controller, open the Settings app -> General -> Game Controller. Next, you can choose the desired option for buttons you would like to change. Alternatively, tap on Add App to create custom controls for a certain app.

7. Update Your Bluetooth Accessory

If it’s been a while since you updated your Bluetooth accessory, there is a decent chance that the outdated version of the software is causing the problem. Therefore, update your Bluetooth device. If you are not sure how it’s done, take the help of the user manual.

  • AirPods get automatically updated when they are charging and in the Bluetooth range of your iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

8. Factory Reset Your Bluetooth Accessory

If the Bluetooth device doesn’t appear on your Vision Pro, reset the Bluetooth device and set it up from scratch.

  • To reset AirPods or AirPods Pro: Put the AirPods in their charging case and wait for about 30 seconds. After that, open the lid -> press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds until the amber light starts flashing amber and then white.
  • To reset your AirPods Max: On the right headphone, you need to press and hold the Digital Crown and the noise control button at once until the status light changes from flashing amber to flashing white.

9. Reset Network Settings 

Should Bluetooth continue to ill-function, try resetting the network on your Vision Pro. 

  • Go to the Settings app on your Apple Vision Pro -> General -> Transfer or Reset Apple Vision Pro -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings and confirm the action. 

10. Update Software 

If none of the above tips has worked in resolving the Bluetooth issues on your visionOS device, go for the software update. 

  • Head into the Settings app on your Vision Pro.
