2 Ways to Add Your Name on iPhone Lock Screen in iOS 18

So, how do you deck up your Lock Screen by displaying your name on it? As fascinating as it sounds, you can use the Focus mode to show your name on the Lock Screen. Simply, create a focus profile -> give it your name, and use it to showcase your name on the Lock Screen. To ensure the focus profile doesn’t block your alerts and phone calls, make sure to keep it simple.

Note that Focus Mode lets you display your name at the bottom of the Lock Screen. If you want to show your name in the Lock Screen’s Widget panel (in the middle of the screen, you will need to take the help of a third-party app.

Use Focus Mode to Add Your Name to Your iPhone Lock Screen 

  • To get going, open the Settings app on your iPhone -> Select Focus -> “+” button at the top right. 
  • Now, select Custom and enter your name. To add a bit of fun to the mix, you can select from a variety of icons.

  • Once you have added your name, tap on the Next button.
  • Then, tap on the Customize Focus button.

  • As we are going to use this mode just for Lock Screen customization, we will not fine-tune it to silence alerts or anything of that kind. So, tap on the back button at the top left to get out of the settings. 
  • Now, swipe down from the top right corner of the screen to access the Control Center and hit the Focus mode icon.

  • Next up, press the Side button to bring up the Lock Screen. 
  • Voila! Your name will start showing at the bottom of the Lock Screen.

  • Later, if you ever want to remove your name from the Lock Screen, just bring up the Control Center -> Focus Mode and tap on your name to turn off the focus profile. 

Use Any Text to Show Your Name on iPhone Lock Screen 

“Any Text” has long been a popular Lock Screen widget app. Using this neat app, you can create a variety of Lock Screen text widgets. You should not bother about spending any bucks at all as the app is available for free.

  • First off, open the App Store on your iPhone -> Search for “Any Text” and install it
  • After that, open the app and create a text widget. Just type in your name and quit the app. 
  • Next, press your iPhone’s side button to trigger the Lock Screen -> Authenticate and long-press on the screen.
  • Now, tap on the Customize button and choose Lock Screen

  • Up next, find the Any Text icon and select it. 
  • After that, choose the preferred widget size and hit the X button to get out of the widget menu.

Now, take a look! Your name is showing on the Lock Screen. Pretty sweet, isn’t it?

Later, if you ever want to remove your name, just head over to the same Lock Screen customization setting and hit the minus button at the top of the text widget. In the end, be sure to hit the Done button to confirm the removal of the widget.
