Stuck at beginner level in Sailor Piece? Fret not! You are not alone in having found yourself clueless.
Frankly speaking, it’s indeed frustrating to see other players having legendary combat skills to slice off the robbers and bosses, while you are stuck with a beginner kit. I know what it feels like fighting the mobs with a basic sword for what feels like hours. The most vexing part is when another player wipes out your entire screen and takes away your credit with one swing of their sword.
So, how do you get out of the rut and march towards topping the leaderboard? To put it straight, you need weapons that can wreak havoc. No prizes for guessing! This is where the “Yamato” sword comes into play. It is one of the top-tier swords in the game, which is why unlocking this coveted sword is an acid test. Having said that, let’s jump right into to learn how to get and use Yamato in Sailor Piece like a pro!
What Is Yamato? (Skill Overview, builds, and combat)
Yamato is a legendary sword that was recently introduced in the game. If you have played Devil May Cry, then you will know that the game is inspired by the Vergil blade in it.
- Skill Overview: This sword is best known for fast attacks and a massive area of effect. It has four skills overall: the basic attacks, dimensional rift, phantom dash, and the sovereign’s execution. You can hit multiple enemies from a safe distance without facing the boss in physical combat.
- Best Builds: Yamato is like any other blade in the game, i.e., a slash-based weapon. Its attacking power is increased when paired with fruits like Light Fruit ( gives the ability to fly) and Quake Fruit (to attack massive crowds at once).
- Combat Strategy: The ultimate attack of the sword is a dome-shaped area of effect attack. And to ensure this attack impacts the most, you need to be at the center of the mobs. This ensures the sword covers the complete area surrounded by the mobs.
Prerequisites
The sword is locked by the game until you prove yourself worthy of it. With that being said, you need a specific title and race; only then can you unlock the sword.
- The Blade Sovereign Title- You need this title to prove you have basic swordsmanship. You can easily get this title from the Yamato boss, so you need to keep fighting the boss again and again until they drop this title for you.
- The Swordblessed Race- This is also an important requirement in the game, and you can only get it from the Race Reroll in your inventory. You will have to keep using the Race Reroll system until you end up getting the race.
Apart from the race and title, you also need certain items and gems to allow the NPC in the game to forge the items. Here’s a list of all the materials you will need:
- 1 Azure Hearth (1% Drop Chance)
- 3 Silent Storms (2.30% Drop Chance)
- 7 Yamato Essences (5% Drop Chance)
- 14 Frozen Wills (8.50% Drop Chance)
- 30,000 Gems
To get the Azure Hearth, Silent Storms, Yamato Essence, and Frozen Wills, you will have to fight the Yamato boss. These items are randomly dropped by the boss when you defeat him. The boss keeps spawning on the judgment island, so you must keep defeating him till you collect all the items.
To collect the gems, you need to complete the quests across all the worlds in the game. You can also earn gems from the enemy’s chest once you defeat them.
Note- If you don’t know where to find the Yamato boss, then we will be discussing it in the next part of the article.
How to Get the Yamato Sword?
You cannot buy the Yamato Sword. It is a crafted sword, so you need to collect specific items, give them to the blacksmith, and he will forge the sword for you. The items required are already discussed above. Now, it’s time to find out how to get the items and the sword.
- First of all, travel to the Judgement Island. Simply head over to the Teleporter in the Starter Island.

- Interact with the teleporter by holding the E button on your keyboard.
- Click on Teleport next to Judgement Island.

- Now, look for the Yamato Boss Spawn Point. The boss will keep spawning every 6 minutes. You will have to defeat the boss multiple times until you have all the items that we have mentioned above in the prerequisites.

- Once you have all the items, look for the Yamato NPC. You will find the NPC at the top of the hill-shaped structures. You can identify him with his white hair and blue coat. He will have a sword in his hand.
- Interact with the Yamato NPC and give him all the materials and 30,000 gems, and he will forge the weapon for you.
Tips for Maximum Efficiency
Collecting all the items listed above is difficult. Specific items like Azure Hearth are rare, and you won’t find them easily. But you can follow these tips to ensure you can collect these items as quickly as possible:
- You must equip Fortune Rune (if you have it in your inventory). This boosts your luck stat, and you will have a better chance of getting rare items.
- Also, avoid solo fighting the boss as it’s time-consuming. Stack up with your friends and fight the boss in a group. This ensures you don’t waste time fighting just one boss.
- Once you kill the boss, you will have to wait 6 minutes for a respawn. And this is where many players make mistakes. With a 6-minute respawn timer, you will only be able to kill 10 bosses in an hour, and going by this speed, it will take an eternity to collect all the items. Instead, keep hopping between servers and join the server where the Yamato boss is already spawned.
What To Avoid (Strict No)
There are a few mistakes that many players make, and you must strictly avoid them:
- If you get the Swordblessed race, then don’t reroll it again while you are on your way to getting the Sword. If the race is switched, then NPC will reject your materials, and you won’t be able to forge the sword.
- Don’t spend your gems. 30,000 gems are hard to earn, so while you are farming the sword, avoid spending the gems on random items.
Wrapping up…
There you have it! Getting the Yamato sword is not easy. It takes heavy grinding to get Yamato. You need to unlock the right race and title, and then collect the required items to forge the sword. Feels a lot right? Well, it’s not. The above guide will help you get Yamato in Sailor Piece. Plus, we have also discussed tips for maximum efficiency, and what you should avoid while you are on your way to farm the Yamato sword.
