iOS 26 Beta 6: 9 New Features & Changes You Must Know

iOS 26 Beta 6 Released Install & Explore It!

Even as the official rollout is just a few weeks away, the iOS 26 beta 6 has landed with several notable changes. As expected, Apple has focused on refining the software, getting rid of the quirks, and making it more stable. But that doesn’t mean it lacks the eye-catching tweaks. Here are the 9 major changes in iOS 26 beta 6.

1. Faster App Animations

Opening and closing apps now feels noticeably quicker, thanks to a speedier animation paired with a subtle bounce effect, bringing it in line with the motion style seen on the Lock Screen and Control Center.

2. New Ringtones

The Reflection ringtone lineup has been expanded with fresh options such as Buoyant, Dreamer, Tech, Pop, Reflected, and Surge. “Reflected” is the same alternate tone first introduced in Beta 2, while a completely new sound, “Little Bird,” makes its debut.

3. Introductory Video

After installing iOS 26, users are greeted with a short welcome video highlighting the new Liquid Glass design elements.

4. Liquid Glass Toggle Animation

Tapping toggles now triggers a sleek Liquid Glass-style animation for a more dynamic feel.

5. More Transparent Lock Screen Clock

The Lock Screen clock now has increased transparency while keeping its frosted glass look intact.

6. Enhanced Passcode Button Translucency

Passcode entry buttons have been refined with greater translucency for a cleaner appearance.

7. Preview App Interface Update

The Preview app sports larger buttons for document creation and scanning. During scans, the controls have been relocated from the top to the bottom of the screen for easier reach.

8. Navigation Bar Refinements

Navigation bars in multiple apps have been adjusted for improved translucency. In some cases, backgrounds are clearer, while in others, opacity is boosted to maintain strong text contrast.

9. Classic Camera Mode Removed

The toggle for Classic Mode in the Camera app is no longer available. The reversed scrolling direction when switching modes—previously optional—is now the standard, with no option to revert.

And that wraps up all the changes in iOS 26 Beta 6. From faster animations to fresh ringtones and refined design tweaks, this update makes the iPhone experience feel even smoother. Let us know which feature you’re most excited about, and don’t forget to subscribe for more Apple updates!
