Note that setting up the Dynamic Lock Screen and Home Screen wallpaper requires your iPhone to be running iOS 18 beta 3 or later. If your device is not updated with the supported version of the OS, dive into the Settings app -> General -> Software Update. Next, wait for a moment or two to let the “Check for Updates” finish and show the update. After that, go ahead and download/install the latest iOS 18 update.

  • Once you have updated your device, open the Settings app to proceed. 
  • Now, scroll down a bit and choose Wallpaper

Customize the Appearance of the iOS 18 Dynamic Wallpaper on Your iPhone

Notably, there is a pretty neat way to tweak the appearance of the dynamic iOS 18 wallpaper.

  • On your iPhone Lock Screen, long-press and hit the Customize button -> Lock Screen.
  • Now, tap on the Dark Mode icon at the bottom of the screen.
  • Next, you can choose from three options such as Automatic, Dark, and Light.
