Hide Copilot from Microsoft Edge on Windows 11
Slowly but steadily, Microsoft Edge has emerged as a robust browser. Whether it’s the wide range of features or the ability to provide a secure browsing experience, the browser looks up to the task on all fronts. The deep integration of Copilot has further enhanced its reputation.
- To get started, launch the Microsoft Edge browser on your Windows device.
- After that, hit the triple-dot (three dots) icon in the top-right corner of the user interface.
- Now, choose Settings.
- Tip: If you don’t see “Settings” in the dropdown menu of the browser, click on the More Tools option and choose Settings to proceed.
- Once you have got access to the Settings menu, hit the menu icon at the top left corner.
- In the left sidebar, choose Copilot and sidebar.
- Next, select Copilot.
- Finally, turn off the toggle next to “Show Copilot” and you are all set! The change will get into action right away, removing the Copilot icon from the Edge browser.

Later, if you ever want to get back the Copilot icon and access it right from the Edge browser, just return to the same app setting and turn the switch back on.
- On your PC, head over to the Microsoft Edge browser.
- Now, hit the triple-dot icon at the top-right corner and select the “Settings” option in the contextual menu. If the Settings option is hidden in the menu, click on “More Tools”.
- When the Settings menu appears, click on the menu icon at the upper left corner of the screen.
- Next, select Copilot and sidebar -> Copilot -> disable the toggle for “Show Copilot” and that’s all there is to it.
