How to Recycle Ores in The Forge Like a Pro

Isn’t it frustrating to have a broken weapon forged through the furnace? You spend a hard time collecting the required ores, and due to some mistakes, the final weapons come out to be unsharpened and can’t kill even one zombie. Earlier, to forge a new weapon, you would have to spend time mining again. Especially if you are mining for rare ores like Mythic, Relic, or Divine, then that would be harder to get.

The new update in the game introduced a recycling mechanism, allowing players to get back some ores if the weapon forged is undesirable. But how to access this option? In this article, I will be guiding you on how to recycle ores in The Forge and get your rare items back.

Why Recycle Ores in The Forge?

You will have to mine the ores from the Cave and then forge the weapon from them. Some ores are relatively easier to get, while there are some ores that are rare to find in the game. When you forge a weapon, you will have to be very careful, and one single mistake can destroy it. When you recycle items, you will get back the ores used in crafting the weapon, and you won’t have to start from scratch.

Also, if you have some weapons and armors that you no longer use, then you can recycle them as well. Though you always have the option to sell the items, that won’t yield you much money. Instead, recycling them will give you ores that you can reuse to craft some other items.

How to Recycle Ores?

When you recycle items (weapons or armor), you will get 50% of the ores back. To recycle the ores, you will have to find recycling NCPs located in different worlds and interact with them. Here’s how you can recycle ores in The Forge:

  • First, you need to locate the recycle NPCs in your world. There are two NPCs in two worlds:
  • Marbles: This NPC is located in Stonewake’s Cross, which is the first world in the game.
  • Wo (The Blacksmith Assistant)- When you progress further in the game and unlock Forgotten Kingdom Town, then Wo can recycle ores.
  • In this guide, we will go through Marbles to recycle ores. Locate Marbles in Stonewake’s Cross. His shop has a two-sword sign.
  • Interact with him by pressing the E button. You will get three options now-
  • I want to sell my items
  • I want to recycle my items
  • No
  • Now, select I want to recycle my items.
  • Here, select the item you want to recycle.
  • Click on the Accept button.
  • This will show you all the ores you will receive. Click on Yes.

Note: It will show you an amount that you need to recycle the item; if you don’t have that amount, you won’t be able to recycle the item.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Many beginners make this mistake, due to which they often fail the recycling process. You must avoid these mistakes:

  • Make sure you have enough space in your bag. If you don’t have enough space, then you will lose the recycled ores and also the amount you spent on recycling.
  • Make sure you have enough amount required to recycle the items.
  • Also, recycle the items only if the value of ore is more than the gold you will get on selling the item.

Wrapping up..!

Recycling items in The Forge is the best way to get rid of items you no longer require or items that are poorly crafted. Recycling items gives you back half of the ores spent in crafting the items.

But it’s advisable not to spend gold in recycling common ores like Iron and Copper; many beginners make this mistake. You can follow the above guide to recycle your old items successfully in the game.
