For folks who are uninitiated, photos tend to go missing or get damaged due to database corruption issues. Besides, things like botched-up photo transfers and ill-functioning third-party party camera apps are also responsible for missing images and videos.

  • To get started, open the ‌Photos‌ app on your iPhone or iPad.
  • Now, you will need to scroll down to the Utilities section.
  • Next, tap on the Recovered photo album and authenticate using your Face ID. Note that if the “Recovered” album does not show up under the Utilities section, you will need to swipe left on the photo albums card to reveal it.
  • If you want to recover a specific photo, tap on it and then hit the Recover button. However, if you would like to restore multiple images at once, tap on the Select button at the top right to select several items at once. After that, you can choose to recover them all. But if you don’t want to keep any of the images, you can delete them all as well.
