Thanks to the ability to smartly organize app windows and allow users to switch between the app windows with utmost ease, Stage Manager has turned out to be by far the coolest macOS 13 feature. When this neat app windows organizer is enabled, all the desktop items get automatically hidden. Though you can quickly unhide the items by just clicking on the screen, some folks may want to permanently show the desktop items in Stage Manage on macOS 13 Ventura on Mac. If you are one of them, let me show you how it’s done the quick way:
2 Ways to Hide/Show Desktop Items in Stage Manager on macOS 13 Ventura on Mac
As the option to display the desktop items permanently on the screen is slightly under the wrap, I don’t think many folks would be aware of it. Frankly speaking, it also took me some digging to figure out the trick.
Permanently Hide/Show Desktop Items in Stage Manager on Mac
Step 1. To get started, launch the System Settings app on your Mac. Alternatively, you can click on the Apple menu located at the top left corner of the screen and choose System Settings.
Step 2. Now, click on Desktop & Dock.
Step 3. Scroll down to the Stage Manage section.
Step 4. Next, make sure that the toggle next to Stage Manager is turned on.
Step 5. Next up, click on Customize.
Step 6. Click on the toggle next to Show Desktop Items so that it’s turned.
Step 7. Finally, make sure to click on Done to confirm the action and you are good to go!
That’s all there is to it! So, that’s how you can permanently display the desktop items when the Stage Manager is enabled on Mac. Later, if you ever want to revert the change, return to this very setting and then turn off the toggle.
Temporarily Hide/Show Desktop Items in Stage Manager on Mac
As already stated above, you can temporarily hide or show the desktop items in Stage Manager by just clicking on the screen.
