iOS 18 “Math Notes” is notable in many aspects and excels in solving complex Math equations in the blink of an eye. So, if you need a super handy tool that can let you solve Maths instantly, this all-new feature is for you. But what if you want to altogether disable the Math Results so that your kid or for that matter any of your family members won’t be able to misuse this feature? Bother not! Apple offers a pretty neat way to permanently disable the Math Results on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. That said, let me show you how it’s done the right way.
Completely Disable Math Results on iPhone, iPad, and Mac
While there is no doubt that artificial intelligence-driven tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Apple Intelligence are very helpful, they are eating into human intelligence, making it weaker and more vulnerable. For all being flawed, copied, and based on blatant theft, AI tools are thriving, whereas genuine creators with years of expertise are struggling to survive.
Completely Block Apple Intelligence on iPhone and iPad
- Go to the Settings app -> Screen Time -> Content & Privacy Restrictions -> Turn on the toggle for Content & Privacy Restrictions -> Intelligence & Siri -> Math Results -> Don’t Allow.
- And that’s pretty much it! You have successfully disabled the Math results on your iPhone. Hence, you can now rest assured that your kid or any of your family members will no longer misuse this Apple Intelligence feature.
- Later, if you ever want to get back this feature, return to the same Intelligence & Siri setting and choose the “Allow” option at the end.
Permanently Disable Apple Intelligence on Mac
- On your Mac running macOS Sequoia 15 or later, launch the System Settings app -> Screen Time -> Content & privacy -> Intelligence & Siri.
- Turn off the switch next to Math Results.
- In the end, make sure to hit the Done button to confirm.
Wrapping up…
As a parent, you should keep the “Math Notes” away from your kid. Since both iOS and macOS provide an effective way to block this feature, you can take control of it as and when the need arrives.
Coming back to AI and its impact, it has begun to show everywhere. Though I have always advocated for using artificial intelligence to boost productivity or carry out specific tasks faster, the blatant abuse of AI to hack the genuine work of creators has never failed to concern me. If the AI abuse continues at its breakneck speed, it won’t be too long before human-driven creativity will disappear for good.
