iOS comes with a ton of super handy features including the ability to announce calls and hide caller ID. One such equally interesting feature allows you to identify flowers and plants with iPhone. Yet to unravel this cool hidden feature? Let me show you how to recognize plants, flowers, and even objects using your iOS device.

Recognize Flowers and Plants with iPhone with a Cool Hidden Feature

While Google Photos remains by far the most loved photo product on the planet due largely to its unmatched smartness and a host of neat features, Apple Photos has made a lot of grounds to stake the claim of being a pretty good contender. Be it allowing you to lock photos with Face ID/Touch ID, play a video in a loop, enable/disable auto-enhance or fine-tune exposure. If that’s not enough, the stock photos app can even let you recognize plants and flowers with consummate ease.

Step 1. To get started, launch Camera app on your iPhone.

Step 2. Now, snap a picture of a flower or a plant.

Step 3. Next, open the Photos app on your device and then head over to the image you have just taken.

Step 4. Next up, tap the “I” button with a sparkle on it.

Step 5. Up next, choose Look Up – Follower or Plant in the popup.

Step 6. Voila! Siri knowledge will instantly show several options with information about the identified flower. The information is usually retrieved from Wikipedia. Now, you can hit the populated information source to get more detail.

That’s pretty much done!

If you want to find out more information about any plant, flower, or object, follow the same steps mentioned above.

From what I can tell based on my experience, Apple’s detection algorithm is up to the mark. Barring a few occasions, it showed accurate information during my testing. However, if Siri knowledge fails to live up to the task in your testing, there are several third-party apps that can fill up the void.

Signing off…

There you have it! Modern versions of iOS are not only highly secure but also come with several neat features. Moreover, they offer more customization than their predecessors. Whether it’s customizing the Home Screen with eye-catching widgets or personalizing app icons or fine-tuning the privacy aspects to ward off the prying eyes, the latest iteration of iOS has got you fully covered. What do you think? Make sure to share your thoughts and the sort-out improvements you would like to see in the upcoming iOS versions.
