A large number of EU iDevice users were frustrated by the absence of Apple Intelligence when Apple rolled out the macOS 15.1 beta. Get Apple Intelligence in the EU on Mac
Before going through the quick steps, be sure to check the device compatibility of Apple Intelligence as it’s limited to Apple M-Series chip and the A17 Pro chip. Yeah, if your Mac doesn’t meet this requirement, you won’t be able to get Apple Intelligence.

Change Language & Region on Your Mac
Unlocking Apple Intelligence outside the US or in the European Union requires changing the language and region to the United States. Since it’s not going to affect the App Store region or purchases, you shouldn’t bother about any aftereffects at all.
- Once you have updated the software on your Mac, launch the System Settings -> General -> Language & Region.
- Now, click on the Add Language “+” button and choose English US.
- Then, hit the drop-down menu next to Region -> Americas -> choose United States.
Join the Apple Intelligence Waitlist and Set It Up on Your Mac

- Click on the drop-down menu that shows right next to Language and choose English (United States).
- Then, click the “Join Apple Intelligence Waitlist” and hit Join Waitlist to confirm.
- Now, it will hardly take a few seconds (max a few minutes) for the confirmation to arrive, saying that you have successfully joined the Apple Intelligence waitlist.
- Having received the confirmation, set up Apple Intelligence and start digging into it to unravel all the hidden gems.
As compared to OpenAI ChatGPT and Google Gemini, Apple Intelligence is a newbie. Therefore, it’s going to take a lot of effort for Apple’s AI to compete with the noted rivals – let alone thinking of beating them. There is, however, one aspect that puts Apple Intelligence a step ahead of the curve is the ability to provide trusted privacy to users’ data. From this very lens, it would be interesting to see how fast Apple’s famed AI improves, shrugs off the loopholes, and becomes a real asset.
