First and foremost, ensure that your mobile device is running the updated version of Threads. To get it done, launch the App Store on your iPhone -> tap on your profile at the upper right corner of the screen -> scroll down to find Threads, and hit the Update button right next to it. On Android, dive into the Google Play Store -> search for the Threads app, and then hit the Update button right next to it.

To get started, open the Threads app on iPhone or Android.
Now, tap on your profile in the bottom right corner of the user interface.
After that, tap on the menu button in the top right corner of the screen.

Next, tap on “Account”.
Next up, tap on “Delete or Deactivate Profile”.

Up next, choose either the “Delete profile” or “Deactivate Profile” option as per your needs and confirm the action in the popup menu.
