How to Delete Memory in iOS 16 on iPhone and iPad

So, what happens when you delete a memory on your iPhone? Note that when you delete a memory, the items in the memory remain available in the photo library. Hence, if you want to completely get rid of the slideshow along with all the items, you will have to manually find and remove the items.

Step 1. To get started, open the Photos app on your iPhone or iPad.

Step 2. Now, tap on the For You tab at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3. Under the Memories section, you should see some recent memories. If you don’t see the slideshow that you would like to delete, tap on See All at the top-right corner.

Step 4. After that, find the sideshow you wish to get rid of. Then, tap on the triple dot icon at the upper right corner of the sideshow.

Step 5. Finally, tap on Delete Memory in the menu.

Step 6. Now, a pop-up menu will appear on the screen asking for your confirmation. 

“Are you sure you want to delete this memory? The items in this memory will still be visible in your photo library.” Make sure to tap on Delete Memory in the popup menu to confirm the action.
