Delete iMessage Apps in iOS 18/iPadOS 18 on iPhone and iPad
Whenever I come across a cool iMessage application, I love to give it a try. However, if it fails to live up to my taste or if I no longer need it, I make sure to get rid of it sooner than later. Though you have the freedom to keep as many apps in the list as you need, it’s better to allow only important ones to show up there. Else, it will look chaotic.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app.
- In the Settings menu, scroll down and choose Messages.
- Now, tap on iMessage Apps.
- On the next screen, you will see a list of iMessage apps. While the standalone iMessage apps appear at the top, the apps that include iMessge apps will show up in a different section titled “Apps with iMessage Apps”.
- It’s worth pointing out that when you delete an app that includes an iMessage app, it will be deleted both from the Messages app and the Home Screen. Hence, keep it in mind before going for the kill.
- Find the app you want to get rid of and then tap on the red “-” button located to the left of the app.
- Finally, hit the red Delete button and you are good to go!
- You can repeat these same quick steps to remove all the useless iMessage apps from your iOS or iPadOS device.
