It’s better to delete the Twitter cache from time to time. Else, it will eat into plenty of storage and also clutter your device. Not to mention, the cluttered app will drain more battery and even run rather slowly. So, if you haven’t cleaned up the micro-blogging app for a while, it would be better to get it done now to free up some precious space on your device. That said, let’s learn how to clear Twitter cache and media files on iPhone and Android.

Clear Twitter Cache and Media Files on iOS and Android

Whether you are using iOS or rocking Android, the steps are the same for both mobile operating systems. If there is any requirement that I would want you to check off, it has to be the latest version of the app. Yeah, if your device is not running the updated version of Twitter, make sure to update it before going through the steps.

Step 1. Open the Twitter app on your iPhone or Android device.

Step 2. Now, tap your profile in the upper-left corner of the screen.

Step 3. Next, scroll down and tap Settings and privacy.

Step 4. Next up, tap Accessibility, display, and languages.

Step 5. Up next, tap Data Usage.

Step 6. Under the Storage section, there are two options to choose from:

  • Media storage: It consists of the saved images, videos, and animated GIFs in your Twitter timeline.
  • Web Storage: It comprises webpages, cookies, saved logins, and other web data.

Step 7. If you wish to delete Twitter’s media caches, tap Media Storage and hit Clear Media Storage.

Step 8. If you want to clear any web data Twitter has cached, tap on Web storage and hit the respective Clear web storage or Clear all Web storage buttons.
