Change Contact Photo on iPhone in iOS 18 or Later

Though Contact Poster is nice, I don’t think it will appeal to everyone’s taste. Folks, who adore low-profile, may not be swayed by the hype. Besides, it’s also good to have the flexibility to separately customize the contact photo.

  • First off, open the Contacts app on your iPhone and then tap on the contact card at the top.
Tap on the contact card
  • After that, tap on Contact Photo & Poster.
  • Then, tap on the Edit button at the bottom of your current contact poster.
tap on the edit button
  • Next, tap on the Customize button at the bottom.
  • Next up, choose Contact Photo in the popup menu.
Choose Photo option
  • On the next screen, you will get an option to choose from Photos, Memoji, Emoji, or Monogram. Select any of these options depending on your preference. In this guide, I’m going to select an image from my camera roll and set it as my contact photo.
  • Once you have selected the desired photo from your photo library, perfectly adjust the image. Moreover, you can also choose a suitable style for the image. After that, tap on Next at the top right and confirm the change.
Tap on photos

That’s pretty much it! Your selection will come into action straight away. Now that you know how it’s done, change your contact photo as and when the need arrives with ease.

Yes. You can turn off the contact poster if you don’t want to share it with anyone. To do so, head over to the Contacts app on your iPhone -> tap on your contact card at the top -> Contact Photo & Poster. Finally, turn off the toggle next to Name & Photo Sharing.
