The process of terminating an App Store pre-order on iOS and macOS is a bit under wraps. However, once you’ve gone through the steps, you will find it hassle-free. Notably, Apple also offers a neat workaround through which you can get rid of an unwanted App Store pre-order even from your Windows device.
Cancel an App Store Pre-Order on iPhone and iPad
- To get going, open the App Store app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Now, tap your profile at the top right corner of the screen.
- Next, tap your name.
- When prompted, make sure to sign in to your Apple Account.
- Next up, tap Pre-Orders for pre-orders or hit Arcade Games Coming Soon for Arcade games. Then, head over to the specific item > hit the Cancel button, and confirm.
- If the Pre-Orders or Arcade Games Coming Soon option is not showing up, you don’t have any pre-orders.
How to Cancel a Pre-Order on Your Mac
- On your Mac, navigate to the App Store app.
- Now, click the sign-in button or your name located at the bottom of the sidebar.
- After that, click the Account Settings button at the top of the window.
- When asked, make sure to sign in to your Apple Account.
- On the page that shows up, scroll to the Pre-Orders section and click Manage Pre-Orders, or click Arcade Games Coming Soon for Arcade games. If the Manage Pre-Orders or Arcade Games Coming Soon is missing, there are no pre-orders.
