There is a hidden feature through which you can completely block Siri on your iPhone and iPad. Read on to…
Block Siri on iPhone and iPad for Enhanced Privacy
To begin with, let’s briefly discuss how blocking Siri works on iOS and iPadOS!
So, how do you completely block Siri on your iOS and iPadOS device?
Thanks to Screen Time, the native parental control, feature, you can restrict not just a number of important features but also altogether disable Siri and dictation on your iPhone. No prizes for guessing! In this guide, we are going to use this very parental control feature to restrict Siri.
Note that when you block Siri on your iOS device, the entire settings of the virtual assistant will be hidden. Hence, no one can tinker with the Siri settings. Besides, the virtual assistant will neither trigger with the voice command nor with the side/home button.
Restrict Siri and Dictation on Your iPhone or iPad
- On your iPhone or iPad, head over to the Settings app.
- Now, choose Screen Time to proceed.
- Next, select “Content & Privacy Restrictions.”
- Next up, be sure that the toggle for “Content & Privacy Restrictions” is turned on.
- After that, choose “Allowed Apps”.
- Finally, turn off the toggle right next to Siri & Dictation and then quit the Settings app.
That’s pretty much it! From now on, Siri won’t be activated when you try to invoke it using voice commands. Additionally, its settings will also be removed so that no one will be able to make changes to them.
