So, how do you show an app on the iPhone Lock Screen? Well, thanks to an “Open App” control, you can choose from a long list of apps installed on your iOS device and include the desired one. Once you have added the app, you will be able to trigger it through the long-press gesture.

  • To begin with, activate your iPhone’s Lock Screen by either pressing the power button or swiping down from the top of the screen.
  • Now, use your Face ID or Touch ID to authenticate and unlock your device.
  • Once the device has been unlocked, long-press on the screen and hit the Customize button -> choose Lock Screen.

  • To remove the unwanted control, tap on the“Minus” button at the top and hit the“+” button.

  • Now, you can use the search bar to quickly find the “Open App” option and select it.
  • Then, tap on the “Choose” option.

  • On the next screen, you will have access to all the installed apps on your iPhone. Pick the desired app.
  • Tap on the empty of the screen to get out of the menu and hit the Done button at the top right corner of the screen to finish.

Going forward, you can launch this app right from the Lock Screen through the long-press gesture. Later, if you want to replace the app, return to the Lock Screen setting -> tap on the minus button at the top of the app, and then choose a preferred icon.
