As someone who loves to pen down emotional moments, I found this new feature appreciable. Probably the best part about it is the desired control that you get over note-taking. Apart from offering the needed privacy, the Apple Maps app also offers a hassle-free way to edit and delete notes.
- To get going, open the Apple Maps app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Now, search for a specific place and tap on it.
- Next, tap on the “More” button in the menu.
- After that, choose the “Add a Note” option in the popup menu.
- Next up, enter the note.
- Once you have written your note, tap on the Done button at the top to finish.
Edit or Delete Notes in the Apple Maps App on iPhone and iPad
Editing a note in the Apple Maps app is just as straightforward.
- To do so, launch the Apple Maps app -> search for the particular place in question, and tap on it.
- After that, tap on the note. Alternatively, hit the More icon and choose the Edit Note option.
- Next, you can edit the note or altogether delete it.
- In the end, make sure to tap on the Done button at the top right corner of the screen to confirm the changes to your note and that’s all there is to it.

Even though the Apple Maps app still can’t take on the versatility and efficiency of Google Maps, most would agree that the competition is no longer a lopsided affair. With enhanced accuracy and the addition of several praiseworthy features, Apple’s maps app has become a reliable navigation asset.
Having extensively used this stock app, I must say that it has come a long way on most fronts. If there is any complaint, it would be the unavailability of many key features outside the US. Hopefully, Apple will sort it out as well sooner rather than later.
