Without an iota of doubt, Lock Screen customization is the biggest highlight of iOS 16. You can now shuffle photos, add widgets, and even link a Focus profile to your Lock Screen wallpaper. What’s more, you can also show upcoming calendar events on your iPhone Lock Screen in iOS 16.

Display Upcoming Calendar Events on Your iPhone Lock Screen in iOS 16

It’s worth pointing out that the calendar Lock Screen widget comes in two variants. You can track the time of the next upcoming event or use a larger widget to display both the event name and its time.

Step 1. To get started, unlock your iPhone with Face ID or Touch ID depending on your device model.

Step 2. Now, long-press on the Lock Screen to access the Lock Screen gallery.

Step 3. Next, swipe left/right to find the Lock Screen wallpaper and tap on Customize at the bottom of the wallpaper.

Step 4. Next up, you need to tap on the frame either above or below the time to reveal the widgets selector.

Step 5. Up next, you can tap on the suggested calendar events widget at the top of the widgets selector in order to add it to the selected frame.

Step 6. Now, tap on the Calendar in the column list of apps to select from a couple of widget variants. You can just swipe to the one you like and tap it or drag it to the frame to add it.

Step 7. Once you have perfectly arranged your widgets, tap on Done in the top-right corner of the screen.

Step 8. Finally, tap on the current Lock Screen in the wallpaper gallery to bring it into play.

That’s done!
