Going by the hottest leaks and rumor mills, Apple is battle-ready to step into the smart glasses arena with a bold new product, expected to debut by the end of 2026. This upcoming wearable is positioned to challenge Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses, offering an enhanced user experience built around Apple’s ecosystem and AI technology.

According to the latest report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple’s smart glasses will include integrated cameras, microphones, and artificial intelligence. These capabilities will allow users to capture photos and videos, make phone calls, listen to music, and get real-time translations and directions—all without needing to reach for their iPhone. Notably, the glasses will also deliver contextual information based on what users are looking at, opening up new possibilities for hands-free computing.

One of Apple’s major advantages is software integration. Unlike Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses, which rely on Meta AI and Google Gemini for processing tasks, Apple will fully leverage its own proprietary AI models. A source quoted by Bloomberg said the product will be “better made,” hinting at Apple’s usual premium craftsmanship. Development is moving rapidly, with prototype manufacturing reportedly planned for late 2025. This timeline gives Apple sufficient opportunity for internal testing and refinement before mass production begins.
