Force Quit the System Settings App

Believe me, I have managed to fix many macOS beta-update-related issues by force quitting the System Settings app. Thus, I would recommend you bank on this useful macOS troubleshooter.

  • Just click on the Apple menu at the top and choose Force Quit. Then, select the System settings app in the menu and hit the Force Quit button.
  • After that, restart your Mac and head over to the macOS Software Update section to find out if the macOS 15.1 beta has appeared.

Sign in at the Apple Developer Program

If the macOS 15.1 beta is still not showing up on your Mac, I would recommend you sign in at the Apple Developer website.

  • On your Mac, launch a browser and navigate to the Apple developer program website.
  • Now, click on the Account tab at the top right and sign in using your registered Apple ID and password.
  • Next, hit the Apple menu at the top left and choose restart to reboot your macOS device.
  • Once your Mac has rebooted, go to the Software Update section to check if the macOS 15.1 Sequoia beta has started to show up. If the macOS dev beta has eventually appeared, it’s time to go ahead with the usual downloading/installing process. I hope this irritating issue has gone away.
