Is Live Audio Transcription Available in Your Country/Region?
Be warned that the Live Audio Transcription feature is currently not available everywhere. But before you think of giving up on this feature, let me tell you that you can get it by switching to “United States” on your device.
- To get it done, go to the Settings app -> General -> Language & Region.
- Now, tap Region -> United States.
- After that, restart your iPhone. Once your iOS device has restarted, go to the Notes app and check if the Live Audio Transcription has returned.
Right Way to Enable and Use Live Audio Transcription in Apple Notes on iPhone
- First off, open the Apple Notes app on your iPhone -> tap on the place where you want to add recording.
- Next, tap on the “Media Attachment” icon that shows above the keyboard.
- In the popup menu, choose the “Record Audio” option.
- Hit the Live Audio Transcription icon in the bottom left corner of the screen to activate it.
- Then, tap on the Record button to start your recording. As you speak, you should the live transcription of your recording at the top. In order to make it more convenient for you to track your recording, it highlights the last spoken words.
- To pause, hit the recording button. And to begin again, tap on the red “Resume” button.
- To finish your recording, tap on the Done option.
Update the Software on Your iPhone/iPad
