While most have gone through the software update without any hassle, a handful of users have reported that the iOS 18.1 developer beta is not showing up on their iPhones and iPads. If this frustrating roadblock has dampened your excitement as well, I have got you covered with some handy tips to get rid of the hindrance. Read on…
Fix iOS 18.1 Developer Beta Not Showing Up on iPhone and iPad
What could be the reason behind the missing iOS 18.1 developer beta? At the heart of the problem could very well be hardware incompatibility. If that’s not the case, a minor software glitch might be blocking your path.
1. Make Sure Your Device is Compatible
Bear in mind that Apple Intelligence requires the A17 Pro and Apple M-Series chip. That means if you don’t have the iPhone 15 Pro or the 15 Pro Max, you won’t get this feature.
2. Be Sure You Are Using the Registered Apple ID
Another essential thing that you should make sure to check out beforehand is the use of a registered Apple ID. If you are using an Apple ID that has not been registered for the Apple Developer Beta Program, it could be the main reason why the iOS 18.1 beta is not available on your iPhone or iPad.
- Go to the Settings app on your iPhone/iPad -> General -> Software Update -> Beta Updates.
- Now, tap on your Apple ID email address -> Choose “Use a different Apple Account” and sign in.
3. Force Quit the Settings App
Many a time, you can fix the iOS beta-related issues by just force quitting the app. Just swipe up from the Home Bar and hold along the middle of the screen. After that, swipe up the Settings app card to force kill the app.
4. Sign in at the Apple Developer Program
If the iOS 18.1 beta is still not showing up on your iPhone, I would recommend you sign in at the Apple Developer website.
- To do so, open a browser and go to the Apple developer website.
- After that, sign in using your Apple ID and password.
- Then, restart your iPhone.
- Once your iPhone has rebooted, go to the Software Update section to check if the iOS 18.1 beta has started to show up. If it has, go ahead and download and install the beta just like any other update and that’s about it!
