Probably the best part about tweaking the background color of the Home Screen is the desired control you get. For instance, iOS allows you to choose from a variety of color options. So, whether you wish to go for a dark color or want to embrace the low-key profile, you have the freedom to get it done. What’s more, you can even adjust the color using a handy slider. Should you ever feel the need to blur the wallpaper on the Home Screen, there is a hidden tool for this purpose as well.

Step 1. First off, open the Settings app on your iPhone running iOS 16 or later.

Step 2. Now, you need to scroll down a bit and tap on Wallpaper.

Step 3. Under the Home Screen Wallpaper preview, tap on the Customize button.

Step 4. Next, a popup menu will appear from the bottom of the screen. Select Customize Current Wallpaper in the menu to proceed.

Step 5. Next up, select one of the two colors from the bottom of the screen.

Step 6. Up next, tap on Configure at the bottom of the Home Screen Wallpaper.

Step 7. Now, select a desired color for your iPhone Home Screen wallpaper from a number of available colors. What’s more, you can also use the color slider to choose a preferred color. To do so, just drag the color slider left/right to cycle through the available colors.

Step 8. Once you have perfectly customized your Home Screen Wallpaper, make sure to tap on Done at the top right corner of the screen to confirm.

That’s all there is to it!

So, that’s how you can set a preferred background color for your iPhone Home Screen wallpaper. While this feature may not have received a lot of spotlight, it is certainly going to win a lot of iPhone users.
