If you have been playing Fisch for quite a while now, you might have heard of Robloom. It is a legendary fish, which is one of the hardest ones to catch within the game. Not only the hardest, but it’s also the most expensive one in the game. 

Rotbloom can only be seen at a very rare chance, and that too when you explore deep within the darkness of the game. That’s the reason why astute gamers take it as a real prize pool to catch this fish and have it in their Bestiary. 

But how can you catch one? Well, catching Rotbloom takes a lot more than a beginner-level experience in the game. Been there, done that, I thought it would be cool to guide you through everything from prerequisites to how to catch Rotbloom in Fisch. What is Rotbloom?

Before going any further, it would be apt to break down Rotbloom and figure out why it’s so coveted.

Note that Rotbloom was introduced in the game with the recent Lost Jungle Expansion update in the game. It is a legendary-tier fish with skeletal, floral-like experience. It’s found in the toxic environments of Toxic Grove.

It’s one of the most expensive fish in the game, which you can sell for up to 25000 C$ depending on the weight of the fish you catch. Not only this, but the mutated Rotbloom can go all the way up to 100,000 C$ or even more. 

Prerequisites to Catch Rotbloom

There are certain prerequisites that you must meet to be able to unlock Rotbloom fish before you can catch one-

  • First of all, you must complete at least 50% of the Lost Jungle map within the game.
  • You can catch Rotbloom during the Rotbloom Hunt Event. So wait until the event starts on the server; once the event starts, you will be notified of it. 
  • You need certain gears to catch Rotbloom fish, which include:
    • Gas Mask (costs 75,000 C$)- You will be entering Toxic Grove to catch the fish, and to not die from the toxic environment, you will need the gas mask. 
    • Toxinburst Rod (costs 185,000 C$)- You can’t catch Rotbloom with the basic rod. You need the Toxinburst rod, which gives hunt focus for this specific fish.
    • Luminous Larva/Thorn Cluster- This is the bait you will need to catch the fish. It’s the favourite bait for Rotbloom, thus increasing your chances of catching the fish. 
    • Luck Potions (costs 5,000 C$+)- It boosts the spawn rate of the fish during the event for you. 
  • You must be at level 30 or higher if you want to catch this fish in the game. It’s a rare fish and difficult to catch; therefore, level 30 or higher is recommended for this. 

Where to Find Rotbloom?

The Rotbloom hunt event takes place in the Lost Jungle. So you must go to the Lost Jungle to participate in the event. You will find it at the coordinates (-3080, 140, —1125) in the GPS.

When you arrive at the Lost Jungle, you will have to enter Toxic Grove, located at the coordinates (-2538, -271, 2414). Toxic Grove will be located at the top of the cliff. 

How to Catch Rotbloom?

Now that you know all the prerequisites and where to find the fish, let’s guide you through the process to catch Rotbloom:

  • First of all, wait for the Rotbloom hunt event to start. You will get a notification on your screen once the event has started. 
  • After the event starts, head over to the Toxic Grove in Lost Jungle. For exact coordinates, refer to the previous section. 
  • Now look for the pool/pond/well in the Toxic Grove. It will be marked purple by the Fish Radar.
  • Now, look for the Toxic Shrooms. You will find it near the pool/area. You will have to use these to summon the Rotbloom fish. 
  • Interact with Toxic Shrooms, and this will summon the fish. While you are interacting with the shrooms, you will notice the water will rise and fall. 

Note- Do not touch the water while it is high, or you will die. 

  • After the process is completed, Rotbloom will summon. 
  • Now, put on the gears discussed in the prerequisites. Use Toxinburst rod and Luminous Larva as the bait. 
  • Once you do this, you can begin catching the fish. 

Note: Do not go too far away from the location, as the event will end within 20 seconds if no player is nearby. 

Tips and Tricks

Though you can catch Rotbloom during the hunt event, the chances of it appearing are rare. Here are some tips and tricks you can follow to have all the odds in your favour:

  • The most favourable time to catch Rotbloom is in autumn. Also, if the weather is foggy, then you must head over to the location to catch Rotbloom. 
  • Rotbloom usually comes out at night. So it’s a preferred time by most gamers. 
  • You must use Luck Potions to increase your chances of catching the fish. Also use Luminous Larva or Thorn Clusters, as these are the favourite baits of Rotbloom. 
  • Don’t use the basic rod, as Rotbloom is fast. You need a special rod like Toxinburst to catch the fish. 
  • Avoid touching the waters when they are too high, as you will die instantly, and you will have to restart the whole process again.
